The Icelandic Met Office warns against the first real snow of autumn in northern Iceland.

Northerly strong gale force wind is expected tomorrow in Iceland with snowfall in the northern part.

Weather outlook: North strong gale (15 to 23 m/s) in most places tomorrow; lighter wind in the south and west until the afternoon. Snow in northern Iceland but some snowshowers in the south. Becoming colder tomorrow, temperatures from zero to minus 5 °C but above zero at the south coast.

On Tuesday: Northwest 13 to 23 m/s, strongest in the northeast. Snow in the north part, but dry in the south. Lighter wind in the west. Temperatures 0 to 4 °C.

Travelling is not recommended in the North on Monday and Tuesday, especially not in cars which have not been prepared for winter driving.
