As a Member State, Iceland acquired full voting rights at the ECMWF Council, starting at the 75th Council session on 16 and 17 June 2011. Also, a portion of the Centre's computer and archive resources will be allocated to Iceland for its own use.
To mark the event, Árni Snorrason, Director-General of IMO, raised the Icelandic flag in front

continuous activity has been recorded since February 14th. As of the time of
writing, the swarm is continuing. This seismic swarm is the largest in this
area since April 2013 when the largest event had a magnitude M5.5.Earthquakes are common in this area. Swarms of similar
magnitude occurred for example in May and September 1969, during the Christmas
period in 1980, in September 1988
