Hydrology

The hydrological side of the IMO involves research and protection of the water resource; its nature and the conditions for utilisation. The projects involve public institutions, marketing of knowledge and joint projects in the field of hydrology, at home and abroad. The Icelandic Meteorological Office employs specialists with special training and the technology to develop and adjust the methods and instruments for research in this field.
