of the volcano. This activity dropped down at the Grímsvötn eruption in May 2011, but soon after, the activity started to gradually increase again and has now reached similar level of activity to that just before the Grímsvötn eruption. Earlier this year, in the middle of May 2014, there was a small swarm of over 200 events and now the present swarm has already generated at least 300 earthquakes

dispersed sunlight and hours of sunlight are measured by sensors on the roof and the balance of solar and far infra-red radiation is monitored on ground level.
Ozone
A joint research program between IMO and INTA of Spain, National Institute for Aerospace Technology, started on 1991 to monitor and study the ozone depletion problem at the subarctic belt. Since 1991 about 200 successful sondes

Continuous seismic activity was detected in the dyke, with about 200
earthquakes being detected, all smaller than M2.0. Few deep earthquakes were detected southeast of
Bárðarbunga, where the dyke turned to northeast.
Earthquakes were detected daily around Herðubreið and Herðubreiðartögl. Yesterday a series of about 20
earthquakes was detected north of Herðubreiðartögl. Very few earthquakes

Ongoing gas-explosions in a crater towards the south in the volcano,
according to an overflight yesterday at 19 hrs.
Seismic tremor: Seismic tremor at similar levels since yesterday but fluctuates
frequently. Tremor bursts recorded at seismic stations up to 200 km
distance from the volcano.
Earthquakes: No earthquakes were recorded in the volcano.
GPS deformation: No significant

The Nordland shore region is known to be seismically active with deep local sediment basins on the
continental shelf that stretches some 200 km west of the coastline. The offshore areas west of Nordland

was deployed and together with the permanent NNSN stations in that area it contained 33+
stations within span 350 x 200 km. About 1250 earthquakes of M>0.0 was recorded during the project
period and new map of seismicity of that area was retrieved.
The main aim of the project is to reveal the stress field in that particular region and therefore
determination of stable
