in the period 6th to the 22nd, eight from ships and one from land. The icebergs were closest to land at 66°28,81'N og 21°23,86'V and close to Selsker (66°07,5N og 21°31'V).
No seaice was in the Greenland Strait in August and northeasterly winds prevailed in the area

to land 52 nm NW of Barði and 48 nm NW of Straumnes. Two observations were received on icebergs, the 4th and the 5th.
An observation from a ship on the 18th reported sea ice from 66°31´N and 26°08´W to 66°26´N and 25°47´W.
Northeasterlies were somewhat less prevalent on the Greenland Strait than the average this month
