Seismic activity has been rather intensive over the last 24 hours. The biggest was M5,3 at 14:21 yesterday and
another one was measured M4,7 at 06:44 this morning. In total 10 earthquakes larger then M3,0 were detected in
Bardarbunga since our last meeting. Smaller earthquakes were detected in Dyngjujokull glacier and in north part of
the dyke.

The GPS station in the centre of Bardarbunga show that the subsidence of the caldera continues with similar rate
as it has done over the last few weeks. Observation from air on Friday show that the depression in the caldera is
40 meters.

The GPS station in the centre of Bardarbunga shows that the subsidence of the caldera continues with similar rate
as it has been doing over the last few weeks. Measurements carried out from the air show that the greatest
subsidence of the Bárðarbunga caldera has now reached 44 meters.

Short summary
Despite the documented severity and lasting geomorphic imprint of the 1362 and 1727 jökulhlaups from Öræfajökull, there is scant information about the routing and extent of these floods. Using field observations, aerial photographs, and modern-day analogues
