Weather outlook
South and southwest 13-25 m/s, strongest near mountains in the northwest parts. Rain in the south and west parts, considerable to heavy precipitation in the northwest, but mainly dry elsewhere. Temperatures 7 to 17 deg C, warmest in foehn winds in North- and East-Iceland.
Decreasing winds and rain tonight.
South 10-18 m/s tomorrow and still rain or drizzle, but clearing in the north and east. Turning westerly in the northwest tomorrow evening and increasing rain in the west.

On Friday (Second Christmas Day):
West and southwest 10-18 m/s and some snowshowers, strongest wind in the northern part. Snow or rain in the eastern part at first, but clearing as the morning goes on. Temperatures around or above the freezing point. Mostly dry in the afternoon and moderating wind.
On Saturday:
Increasing southwest wind in the northern part, 10-18 m/s in the afternoon but elsewhere much lighter wind. Cloudy in the western part, some light precipitation some places and temp. 0 to 6 degrees C., but mostly fair and cooler in the eastern part.
On Sunday:
Southwest and west 5-13 m/s. Cloudy and some precipitation here and there, but intermittently fair in the southeastern and eastern parts. Temp. widely 0 to 6 deg. C.
On Monday and Tuesday:
Westerly or variable wind and intermittently fair, but chances of occasional rainshowers in the northern and western parts. Becoming colder.
On Wednesday (Last Day of The Year):
West and northwest wind and widely some light precipitation, but dry in the southeastern part.
