The Icelandic Meteorological Office is located on Bústaðavegur 7-9, 150 Reykjavík. The office's main telephone number is: (+354) 522 6000. The reception is open from 08:30 to 16:30 during weekdays.
Outside office hours, calls to 522 6000 are answered by the forecast room, which is manned continuously. Depending on the circumstances enquires and announcements can be directed to the duty forecaster, the earth-hazard observer or the duty person for avalanche and landslide dangers.
The Snow Avalanche Centre of the Icelandic Meteorological Office is located at Árnagata 2-4, 400 Ísafjörður. The office's telephone number is: +(354) 450 3000.
The Icelandic Meteorological Office runs an upper-air sounding station at Keflavík international airport. The office's telephone number is: (+354) 425 6259. Weather observations are done throughout the country, including Keflavik.
