Í dag var farið í ískönnunarflug um vesturmið. Komið var að hafís norður af vestfjörðum, og
meginísinn kortlagður með eftirlitsbúnaði flugvélarinnar. Hér að neðan má sjá afrakstur
eftirlitsins.

and early summer was cold,
dry and sunny. Towards the end of June, it warmed up quickly
especially in the North and East with maximum temperatures well above
20°C in many places for several days. The sudden warm weather, after
the cold spring, caused a rapid snow melt in the mountains, increased
runoff and extensive flooding in major rivers and streams.
