Workshop
A workshop on Measurements and simulation of volcanic ash for civil aviation will be held in Reykjavík 17th January 2012 at Orkugarður, Grensásvegi 9. Those who are interested in the subjects are welcome to listen.
It is sponsored by the Icelandic Civil Aviation Administration, Icelandair and Isavia. The workshop leader is Sigurður M. Garðarsson, Dean of Environmental and Civil Engineering, University of Iceland.
After registration at 09:00, an opening address will be given by Pétur K. Maack, Director General of Icelandic CAA, at 09:30. Lectures and disscussions will take place until summary at 16:30.

The workshop is organised by the Icelandic Meteorological Office, University of Iceland, Reykjavík University and RIV.
