Abstracts and paper publication

IGS 2015 Höfn in Hornafjörður

Participants wishing to present a paper at the symposium are required to submit an abstract through the IGS symposium website. There will be both oral and poster presentations. The abstract submission deadline is 21 February 2015. A programme and collection of submitted abstracts will be provided for all participants at the symposium.

The Council of the International Glaciological Society has decided to publish a thematic issue of the Annals of Glaciology on topics consistent with the symposium themes. Submissions to this issue will not be contingent on presentation at the symposium, and material presented at the symposium is not necessarily affirmed as being suitable for consideration for this issue of the Annals. 

Participants are encouraged, however, to submit manuscripts for this Annals volume. The deadline for receiving Annals papers is 7 May 2015. Strict adherence to set deadlines during the review and publication process is asked for by the editorial board to facilitate timely publication of the Annals of Glaciology volume.

Authors will have a chance to meet the scientific editor responsible for the review and editing of their paper during the symposium to discuss the comments of reviewers regarding the paper.
