Sea ice in April 2010
The Coast Guard went on one ice-survey flight this month, 7th April. The ice-edge was closest to land 52 nm NW of Barði and 48 nm NW of Straumnes. Two observations were received on icebergs, the 4th and the 5th.
An observation from a ship on the 18th reported sea ice from 66°31´N and 26°08´W to 66°26´N and 25°47´W.
Northeasterlies were somewhat less prevalent on the Greenland Strait than the average this month.
