because of geothermal
activity that melts the glacier from
below and water
accumulates beneath them.
When the hydro static pressure is high enough for the water to lift the ice
above and flow from
below the
cauldrons it
causes a flood. Floods from the
eastern-
cauldron are usually larger than the floods
