Lidar 2013
Participants will stay at Fosshótel Reykholt in Reykholtsdalur, W-Iceland. The hotel, which is located at the historic Reykholt farm, provides facilities for meetings and includes access to hot tubs and Wi Fi.
Rooms are booked by e-mail to lidar2013@vedur.is (see Registration). The cost is 18400 IKR (~150 USD) per night for a single room and 21600 ISK (~170 USD) per night for two persons in a double room (20000 ISK (~160 USD) per night for one person in a double room). Participants need to specify whether they arrive on 19 or 20 of June. The workshop starts at 09:00 on 20 June.
There are many interesting places to see at and in the neighbourhood of Reykholt, including a museum about the medieval history of Iceland, the largest natural, low-temperature hot spring in Iceland, Deildartunguhver, the Barnafossar waterfalls in Hvítá river, and the Langjökull ice cap, the second largest ice cap in Iceland.
