20 are sourced in the
Bárðarbunga caldera, six over magnitude 3. The largest were of magnitude 4.7 at 06:45 and
magnitude 4.3 at 14:48. Both occurred at the northeastern rim of Bárðarbunga caldera. Over
70 earthquakes have been recorded in the northern part of the dyke, all less than magnitude 2.
Few earthquakes have been recorded by Herðubreið and Herðubreiðartögl and none by Askja.
