Reykjavík and leave the capital area to the southwest. The drive
will take us through the lava fields and mountains of Reykjanes
peninsula. We will make several short and longer stops at various
geologically interesting sites, such as hot springs and faults.

Tuesday, a rather deep low is forecasted in the southwest and west of Iceland.
Southeast winds, 10-18 m/s are expected in the southwest and west with wind gusts up to 35 m/s. Heavy rain is expected, with the greatest amounts in the South tomorrow afternoon and evening.

In the main crater steaming is still active.
However, intensity of the steam is considerable smaller than it was last
week. Steam rises some 200 to 400 m above crater rim. South of the
