Activity summary:
The effusive eruption which commenced on 16 March continues with the extrusion of lava and release of volcanic gases. Gas pollution at ground level represents an hazard for the people as the measured concentrations did show peaks up to 15,000 micrograms/m3 at a distance of few km from the active vents. The eruption continues without the production of ash.

Cloud height:
The plume is assessed to be below 1,5 km. No ash is detected.

Other cloud information:
The volcanic plume is primarily rich in volcanic gases and water vapor. It can be clearly seen from cameras, satellite images and direct observations.
