Two bus companies offer rides
from the Keflavík International Airport (KEF) to the BSÍ bus terminal in central Reykjavík. Additional prepaid service from BSÍ in smaller vehicles to some major
hotels and guest houses in Reykjavík is possible.
AirportExpressBus Iceland Excursions
The company found by the first link (Reykjavík Excursions), operates more frequently and faster between the airport and central Reykjavík. If you buy a "Flybus Plus" ticket, further transportation from BSÍ terminal in central Reykjavík to the hotel is included. Get a return ticket for smooth transportation back to the airport, the same way you came. You do not need to book your ticket in advance. The Flybus operates for all arriving flights, and even in case of flight delays it will wait for the passengers.
To get around in Reykjavík
City bus transportation in town is offered by Strætó.
Grand Hotel Reykjavík is conveniently located not too far from the city center. It is within walking distance to Laugardalslaug swimming pool and 2.5 km away from the Icelandic Met Office.
