IICWG charter signed
Today, 31st October 2008, Magnús Jónsson, Dir. Gen. of IMO, signed the charter of the International Ice Charting Working Group in presence of Dr. Jens Sunde, co-chairman of IICWG.
The Icelandic Meteorological Office has been a partner of IICWG since its foundation in 1999 and welcomes this opportunity to acknowledge the partnership.
The goal of IICWG, which was formed in in October 1999, is to promote cooperation between the world's ice centers on all matters concerning sea ice and icebergs.
